2019 Information and Rules

Promoters and Organizers
Action Jeunesse is proud to once again be the promoter of Brickomanie – Lego Convention and Exhibit for 2019.
The members of Brickomanie’s organizing committee are:

  • Benoit Désilets
  • Chantal van Mil
  • David St-Cyr
  • Geoffroy Bussière
  • Jacques Bussière
  • Jonathan Bussière
  • Sylvain Maltais
Brickomanie will take place November 8, 9 and 10, 2019 at the Coop de l’Espace Saint-Hyacinthe pavilion,
2740 Beauparlant Avenue, Saint-Hyacinthe (QC) J2S 4M8.
Although this is an AFOL (Adult Fan of LEGO) convention, all those who are passionate about LEGO bricks, whether or not they are affiliated with the club, are welcome.
Children under 18 years of age:
The activities in the convention are intended primarily for adults and are not always appropriate for children. Certain games are very competitive. Adults that are accompanying children should keep that in mind.
  • All children that are 17 years old or younger must have a completed parental authorization form, even if they are accompanied by an adult.
  • Children aged 11 to 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult that is registered for and present at the convention.
  • Children under 10 years of age must be preauthorized by the organizing committee and must be accompanied by an adult that is registered for and present at the convention.
You can register as an exhibitor, participant or vendor (read the appropriate sections before registering).

Registration can be done through the website (www.brickomanie.com) or by completing the printed registration form.
Registration fees for exhibitors and participants are $50 until August 31, 2018 and $60 from September 1 to October 10, 2019. Payment must be made at the time of registration.
The fee for an 8 x 12 foot vendor space is $200. This includes: a vendor registration, a participant registration and admittance for one assistant per day. Add $150 for each additional space without registration.
If, for any reason, you must cancel your registration, you must do so as quickly as possible. Please note that there will be no reimbursements.

Accepted forms of payment:

  • PayPal (expo@brickomanie.com)
  • Interac E-transfer (info@brickomanie.com)
  • Cash given to a member of the organizing committee along with a duly completed registration form.
To be considered as an exhibitor, you must at a minimum be able to fill a 8 foot table or the equivalent.
It is possible for several exhibitors to group together in order to make a collective presentation. In such a case, the exhibitors must designate a representative to be in contact with the organizing committee and to supply the committee with any necessary information.
The committee reserves the right to limit the space allocated to exhibitors and to collective presentations. If this happens, the committee will contact you.
If two exhibitors want to present the same collection, the organizing committee reserves the right to prioritize the exhibitor that has already participated in past editions.

Your allocated space must be completely set up before the exhibit opens to the public on the Saturday at 10:00am and can only be dismantled after the end of the exhibit on the Sunday at 4:00pm.

Authorized material:
  • Brickomanie is a 100% LEGO exhibit. We do, however, accept pieces from third party producers such as Brickarms, Brickmania, Altbrick or others who are involved in the AFOL communities and events. Pieces of Mega Bloks, Kre-O, Best Lock, BrickTek and others are not permitted, and neither are counterfeit minifigures.
  • Official sets are accepted if they are integrated into a creation or if you come with a themed collection (i.e.: 1989-1992 Pirates sets). A contextual setting is required. The organizing committee reserves the right to refuse a set if it is too prevalent.
  • Any creation containing any of the following will be refused:
    • Drugs, tobacco, alcoholic beverages;
    • Sexual content;
    • Realistic or extreme violence, blood, etc.;
    • Political or religious convictions and / or insults towards those convictions;
    • Racist content;
    • Able to anger or hurt somebody.
  • In case of doubt, it is preferable to contact the organizing committee.

Your presence during exhibit hours is preferable but not obligatory.
Each exhibitor is responsible for the security of their space against theft. In case of any losses, please inform the organizing committee in case the piece(s) should be returned.

Whether you are a knowledgeable designer or simply someone who is passionate about LEGOs, you can attend the Brickomanie event as a participant. You will have access to all of the activities, which will allow you to meet others who share your passion.
The number of vendor spaces is limited and the organizing committee is offering priority, until August 31, 2019, to vendors who have already participated in previous editions.

Only items that are related to LEGO bricks are authorized, and no exclusivity will be offered.
Your space must be set up before the exhibit opens to the public on the Saturday at 10:00am and it can only be dismantled after the end of the exhibit on the Sunday at 4:00pm.
Each vendor is responsible for the security of their space against theft. The organizing committee can not in any case be held responsible for losses, nor for disappointing sales during the event. However, in the case of any losses, please inform the organizing committee in case the piece(s) should be returned.
